A piece of unused land generating rental income of around ¥40,000 per month (reference estimate; actual amounts vary by conditions) — low-voltage grid-scale BESS is a new land utilization option you can start with zero upfront cost. It works on parking lots, farmland, vacant lots, unused space within factory premises, and more — any land of approximately 6 tsubo (about 20 m²) qualifies.
This Service Is Ideal If You Have Land Like This
- A parking lot generating low revenue
- Farmland or a vacant lot sitting unused
- Unused space within a factory or warehouse property
- A solar power plant approaching the end of its FIT period with no plan for what comes next
- Inherited land you want to put to work somehow
We can accommodate land from approximately 6 tsubo (about 20 m²) upward (the required area including space for grid connection work varies by conditions).
How It Compares to Other Land Uses
| Use Option | Upfront Cost | Management Effort | Income Stability | Contract Term |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low-Voltage BESS (REVIX) | Zero (fully covered) | Virtually none | ○ (market-linked) | 15 years |
| Monthly Parking Lot | Paving & signage | Property manager fees | △ (demand fluctuates) | Month-to-month |
| Solar (FIT) | Upfront cost required | Periodic inspection fees | ○ (during FIT period) | 20 years |
| Apartment Construction | Tens of millions of yen | Management & repair costs | △ (vacancy risk) | Long-term |
The greatest advantage of low-voltage grid-scale BESS is that landowners pay nothing — and earn long-term income.
Benefits for Landowners
1. Zero Upfront Cost
REVIX JAPAN covers all costs associated with installation — the battery unit, EMS, and all construction work (foundation, electrical, communications, and fencing). Landowners simply provide the land and start earning.
2. Long-Term Rental Income (may vary with market conditions)
A 15-year lease agreement secures stable rental income. For example, at ¥40,000 per month, the cumulative income over 15 years comes to approximately ¥7.2 million (this is a reference estimate only; actual rental amounts depend on location, area, and conditions).
3. No Management Required
After installation, all day-to-day maintenance, equipment management, and market bidding are handled by REVIX JAPAN. The landowner's workload during the lease period is virtually zero.
4. Site Restoration at End of Contract
When the lease expires, we remove the equipment and restore the land to its original condition. Because you get your land back, you retain full flexibility for future use.

What a Landowner Who Got Started Has to Say
Mr. A, Osaka Prefecture (50s, company employee) "I was at a loss about what to do with a vacant lot I inherited. When I heard I could get started with zero upfront cost and leave all the paperwork to someone else, I decided to go for it. Now rent arrives in my account every month without me having to do a thing — it's much easier than I expected." (This is a reference example. Actual conditions vary by individual case.)
